The Yakima Kids’ Fish-In takes place Saturday, April 28, at Reflection Pond at Sarg Hubbard Park, Yakima Greenway.   Fishing times are from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.   The Fish-In is hosted by the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife and the Yakima Greenway Foundation.

Space is limited.  Registration forms are available at the Yakima Greenway Foundation office, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, Central Valley Bank and at http://yakimagreenway.org/fishingKids.htm.  Register by April 18 to reserve your T-shirt size.  Registration deadline is April 27.

Cost is $8.00 per child.

Introduce your child to the sport of fishing guided by experts and volunteers.  Each participant gets a rod and reel to take home.  Reflection Pond will be stocked with 5,000 rainbow trout.  Bait is provided.  Fish will be cleaned and bagged on ice, ready to go home with the kids.  Trout recipes will be handed out.

Major Fish-In sponsors are:  GPO (Go Play Outside), Central Valley Bank, Red’s Flyshop, Shuyler Productions, Mid Columbia Walleye Club, Southwest Rotary Club and Strader Roofing Company.
