Fire Hydrant Installation Causes Traffic Delays
If you live near a fire hydrant you know if something happens water is nearby. They're important to neighborhoods and one is being installed this week on Pacific Avenue between Fair Avenue and 13th Street from Monday, November 5th through Friday, November 9th.
Work on the project will begin at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm each day. As a result Pacific Avenue will be closed to eastbound traffic in the project area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
