The father of a fallen solider is preparing for the journey of a lifetime.

Don Blanchard is the father of the late Selah Soldier, Captain Aaron Blanchard, who was killed in Afghanistan. To honor his memory, the soldier's father is preparing to ride his motorcycle to all four corners of the United States raising money for charities and spreading awareness about Aaron's life.

Blanchard said his oldest son always wanted him to take this trip across the country. He's excited to tell the world stories about Aaron's passion for his family and career.

Blanchard will leave Saturday morning. You can be part of the sendoff. Just be at Owen's Cycle in Yakima by 8:00 a.m.

If you'd like to follow Blanchard's journey or find out how to donate to the four charities he's selected check out the Facebook page called "A Father's Tribute."
