A father and son argument turned near fatal Saturday night at a home in West Valley. Yakima Police were called to the home on the 500 block of North 80th Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. They found a 51-year-old man suffering from serious knife wounds to his arm and neck. The man was rushed to a Yakima hospital where he is recovering today. Authorities found the 31-year old-son hiding in the backyard of the home and recovered a buck-knife used in the stabbing. The 31-year-old son is expected to make his first court appearance later today. He faces a charge of second-degree attempted murder charge. He is being held in the Yakima County Jail. There are no words on the father’s condition today and police are not saying what the motive was for the incident.
