Fatal Stabbing In Yakima On Tuesday

A 31 year old man is dead today after being stabbed in a fight in Southeast Yakima Tuesday. Authorities say the fight in the 5 hundred block of East Walnut was first spotted by a police officer driving in the area. Two men were fighting in the Eastbound lanes of East Walnut. When they saw the officer one man ran off and was quickly caught and arrested. The 31 year old victim was taken to a Yakima hospital to be treated for multiple stab wounds. But he died a short time later. The 23 year old suspect is being held in the County jail on a murder charge as the investigation continues today.
