Fatal Accident Claims Life of Selah Man

The Washington State Patrol says a 23-year-old man from Selah was killed in a crash shortly after 5:00 p.m. Saturday while riding a motorcycle on the Old Naches Highway. According to state troopers Ryan Menard was traveling southbound on Old Naches Highway riding a 2008 Harley Davidson while 17-year-old Arianna Deherrera was driving a 2001 Ford Escape traveling northbound. Troopers say she started making a left turn, failed to yield and the two collided.  Menard was transported to Yakima Regional Hospital where he died early Sunday. The accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
