Fast Food Survey -Get It Quick, Get It Right, Get It With A Smile -Dave’s Diary
Color me guilty…and use a crayon that could stand to lose a few pounds. I really enjoy the taste as well as the convenience of drive thru fast food. Usually it is the speed with which I’m served that draws me in-being a busy guy and all-so I can drive up, grab the grub and then be quickly on my way. Yahoo News is reporting the results of a recent study on fast food service.
The survey from
QSR Magazine, which closely tracks the nation's chain restaurants, reveals the average time you'll wait for food at the drive-thru is 3 minutes and 23 seconds. The findings are based on over 2,000 visits to 23 restaurants in three food categories.
Orders were found to be most accurate at lunch time (88.9%), and least accurate at dinner time (83.6%). Sandwich chains were found to be most accurate (87.5%), while burger chains were the least accurate (85.2%).
Interestingly, dinnertime was found to be the least busy time at the drive-thru, but it was also the slowest time (3 minutes, 46 seconds.) Sandwich shops were also found to have the friendliest employees; they were rated "pleasant" or "very friendly" 83.9% of the time. (Yahoo)
