Fallen Hero Banners Part Of Veteran’s Day Parade In Yakima

The annual Veterans Day Parade along Yakima Avenue on Sunday will feature what's called "Fallen Hero" banners. Caroline Hope with the Yakima VFW Post 379 says the 27 banners, large portraits of men and women from Washington State killed in the line of duty will be carried by members of the military from the Yakima Training Center.
The parade starts at 10:45 Sunday morning at Yakima Avenue and Naches Avenue and continues west to 6th avenue.
The "Fallen Hero" banners will be on display on Monday, November 12 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Yakima VFW Post 379 located at 118 S. 5th Avenue in Yakima.
