Former Seattle Mariner favorite Jamie Moyer became the oldest pitcher to ever win a Major League Baseball game last night (April 17th), as the 49-year-old threw seven strong innings to lead his Colorado Rockies to a 5-3 victory over the San Diego Padres. The win was the 268th for Moyer, who made his major league debut in 1986, tying him with with Hall of Famer Jim Palmer for 34th on the career win list. Moyer, who got last night's win when he was 49 years and 150 days old, displaced previous record-holder Jack Quinn of the Brooklyn Dodgers, who was 49 years and 70 days old when he got his win on September 13, 1932.
