The other day I heard of the ongoing legal battle of a woman who claims to own the sun and was selling shares on Ebay!Check it out!

But don’t think that mean absolutely anything goes for sale on line, especially if you are a witch

Back in 2012, eBay banned the sale of spells, potions, and other metaphysical goods. This lead many witches and pagans to begin selling these items on Etsy instead.  Now the Daily Dot reports Etsy has quietly banned the sale of these items as well.

Etsy, which went public in April, has new guidelines that read, “Any metaphysical service that promises or suggests it will effect a physical change (e.g., weight loss) or other outcome (e.g., love, revenge) is not allowed, even if it delivers a tangible item.” The pagan and Wiccan community is claiming cultural and even religious bias is at play.

Etsy stands by its decision, saying that it’s not in the business of selling services and that it wants to “protect our community from business practices that prey upon vulnerable and desperate shoppers—such as those seeking a treatment for cancer or infertility.”

Values and ethics on line! Who knew?  (Newser)
