Erin Black Leaves YWCA Directorship For Memorial Foundation
The YWCA Yakima has announced the resignation of Executive Director Erin Black. Ms. Black has accepted a position at the Memorial Foundation, but will work with the YWCA to assist with transition through the end of August
In a news release issued Tuesday, the YWCA credited the board and Black’s leadership in completing a $9.7 million expansion project in 2011. Over the past six years, Black, the board and the YWCA staff have worked closely to complete the “Bringing It Home” project to pay off the mortgage on the building and increase community support, according to the release.
Starting Sept. 1, Amy Flynn will serve as the interim director as the YWCA Executive Search Committee conducts the business of identifying a new YWCA executive director.
