Emergency Phone Service Down in Washington

Emergency 911 service is down in most of the state of Washington.

A duty officer at the state Emergency Management Division at Camp Murray, Alan Steele, says it began around 1 a.m. Thursday and affects the service provided by CenturyLink.

People needing emergency help are advised to call business numbers for dispatch centers.

Here are the non-emergency dispatch numbers to call in case of an emergency:

  • Benton County – (509) 628-0333
  • Franklin County – (509) 545-3510
  • Walla Walla County – (509) 527-3265
  • Yakima County – (509) 865-4202
  • Kittitas County – (509) 925-8534
