An Ellensburg woman is in custody accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the business where she worked.

Detectives tell KNDO News 34-year-old Meghan Sandvig worked as a bookkeeper at Premier Paint and Floor Covering for four years. Investigators say she stole $375,000 from her employer's business accounts and cash bank deposits while working there. They say she stole money on a near weekly basis since September 2009.

After an almost month-long investigation detectives arrested and booked Sandvig into the Kittitas County Corrections Center. She is facing one count of first degree theft.

Detectives also searched Sandvig's home where they seized cash and numerous items believed to be purchased with embezzled money.
