Ellensburg Will Be Busking This Weekend

Ellensburg is the place to be this weekend for those who love street performers.

The Buskers in the Burg event starts tonight and continues through Saturday night in downtown Ellensburg.

The Director of the Ellensburg Downtown Association Carolyn Honeycutt says the event kicks off with a variety show Friday night.

Saturday morning kicks off with a giant puppet parade with large puppets made by a local artist. Then it is a day filled with buskers who are better known as street performers in downtown Ellensburg.

Honeycutt says, “We have hula hoopers, magicians and music for everyone. There’s just a tremendous variety for everyone going on in Ellensburg.”

The Friday night variety show and select other events are for 21 and over but a majority of the performances are free and open to everyone.
