Early Morning Fire Damages Two Yakima Businesses

Two businesses in Yakima were heavily damaged by fire early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the fire at a building in the 31-hundred block of Summitview just after midnight. The building is home to Geppetto's Italian Bistro and Deli and The Shopkeeper.

Flames were coming from the rear of the building when firefighters arrived. Firefighters from Yakima, East and West Valley and Union Gap helped battle the flames. No injuries were reported. An investigation will start Today to determine the cause of the fire.
