Early Morning Crash Takes the Life of a Moxee man

A 28 year old Moxee man died early this morning when he was ejected from a car he was a passenger in.  Jamie Santillan died at the scene, while the driver of the car, 27 year old Timoteo Ontiberos of Yakima is fighting for his life in a Seattle Hospital. He was airlifted to a Harborview Medical Center early this morning.

The Washington State Patrol says Ontiberos was heading eastbound on Ahtanum road ten miles west of Yakima when he lost control of his 1999 Ford Winstar. The vehicle rolled several times and both men were eject.

The State Patrol says neither men were wearing seat belts and drugs and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
