Earliest Potato Blight Outbreak in WA State; No Dumping Duties on Exports of WA Apples to Mexico

Row Crop Rep Kevin Cochrane says Washington State is experiencing the earliest Potato blight outbreak in memory. Industry experts believe it could be seed born late blight, and if that holds to be true it could surface in other states because of the fact that many growers get their seeds from the same source.

Tuesday John Deere announced that Deere dealers in both the US and Canada would begin selling and supporting nutrient applications products from 360 Yield Center. This is part of Deere’s new joint venture with Hagie Manufacturing to sell and service Hagie’s high-clearance sprayers.

There are no Dumping Duties on Exports of Washington Apples to Mexico in a ruling Tuesday that could have a trickle-down effect to other western crops that head south. Mexico’s Ministry of Economy released its final determination on the anti-dumping case filed by domestic growers early today. In its review, it found that imports from the United States did not cause injury to the domestic industry, and therefore it has terminated the anti-dumping investigation on imports of U.S. apples without the imposition of anti-dumping duties,
