Today is E-day and hundreds of thousands of people throughout the Northwest are ready.

The partial solar eclipse for Yakima begins just after 9 a.m. Monday and will be at its maximum coverage at 10:22 a.m.
Many businesses in Yakima are closing so employees can enjoy the event that is expected to last more than two hours.

Prior to the eclipse, take a moment to check your eclipse viewing glasses and make sure they have an ISO logo and note that indicates the glasses meet the requirement for ISO 12312-2:2015. If your eclipse glasses do not have this certification, do not use them!
