The Washington State Department of Health is warning people that several types of frozen food products from the Farm Rich, Market Day and Schwan's brands, have been recalled due to possible contamination with E. coli.

The health department reports that 27 people have been sickened in 15 states, including a 20-year-old woman in Pierce County, Washington.

The products were also widely distributed throughout Washington State and Dave Gifford, Food Safety program manager says

This type of E. coli can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, bloody diarrhea, fever, vomiting and can sometimes result in severe, life-threatening illness.
