On State Route 823, a 22-year-old Selah woman was killed and another seriously injured in a crash early Sunday morning. State patrol troopers say Angelica Lavon McClellan was driving North in the Southbound lanes at Golf Course Loop when she collided head-on with a tractor trailer. The crash occurred at about 5:15 a.m. Sunday morning. The driver of the semi was not injured, but a passenger in McClellan’s vehicle, 28-year-old Sheannea Whitehawk of White Swan, was seriously injured. Whitehawk was taken to a Yakima hospital and was then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was listed in critical condition Sunday night.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
