If you were driving anywhere this past weekend you were thinking about the snow and the ice. Driver who made trips across the Cascade Range found themselves dealing with a lot of heavy snow.

Snow and ice covered Interstate 90 beginning Friday afternoon through Sunday night. The Washington State Patrol received reports of numerous crashes and spinouts during the day and evening both Saturday and Sunday -- so many crashes that the freeway was closed to clear accidents and snow.

Other Cascade passes also saw snow and ice, but that also meant good news for the White Pass Ski Area, where more than two feet of snow fell during the weekend.
