Driver Crashes Into Yakima Patrol Car

Yakima Police say a driver crashed into a Yakima Police car on Saturday afternoon as Sgt. Shelly Upton was leaving the station and waiting at the light  at 2nd Street and Walnut. Another driver eastbound on Walnut went through the red light struck another car and then both those vehicles crashed into the patrol car. Sgt. Upton was taken to a Yakima hospital where she was treated and released. The other drivers were not injured. The driver who ran the red light was sited and released.
