--People who drink alcoholic beverages increase their daily calorie intake by 384 calories.

--Drinkers of sugar-sweetened beverages take in 226 calories more calories.

--Coffee drinkers take in 108 more calories each day.

--Diet soda and tea drinkers took in the fewest additional calories each day.

But one important revelation from the study is that many diet soda drinkers

loading...

overcompensated by getting more of their calories from unhealthy food sources.
