It appears that the Wasington Dream Act is dead for the 2013 Legislative session.  Even though the bill sailed through the state house by a 77-20 vote with half of the 44 house republicans voting for it, including 14th district representatives Charles Ross and Norm Johnson, and 15th district representative Bruce Chandler.  The Bill would have opened need-base college aid to illegal immigrants.   State Senate majority leader Rodney Tom, a Democrat from Medina, said the Dream Act will not recieve a vote on the Senate floor this session.   Bill supporters had held out hope a procedural move would be used to bring the measure to a floor vote.  Tom says that's not going to happen.
