The big event, sponsored by the Central Washington Homebuilders Association, is set for March  21 and 22.

Executive Officer Carly Faul says they'll have lots of big equipment -- dozers, cranes, rollers and excavators -- ready at State Fair Park. But in the meantime, they need volunteers.

"In all the equipment, we'll need operators to show the kids what to do and make sure they stay safe," Faul says.

But don't worry if you don't know how to operate heavy machinery. Volunteers are needed

in nearly every area -- for ticket taking, herding lines of kids and a range of other tasks.

Along with the big equipment they'll have tire and pipe crawls. The city and county will bring big equipment as well as police and fire units. Tickets and information are now available at cwhba.org

Some 90 volunteers will make it all happen. Get hold of CWHBA at their website or call 454-4006 if you can help.
