The Millennium Arts Plaza on south 3rd Street was installed in the year 2003 in downtown Yakima. Now there's talk by the city of possibly moving the art plaza to another area of the city as officials consider a proposed downtown plaza. Noel Moxley is an active member of the arts community and President of the Yakima Arts Commission who tells KIT News."I think it enhances the Capital Theater and I think it's a nice thing to have right where it is. I would not like to see it destroyed certainly. Moved? perhaps. But it would depend on the location."  The downtown plaza is only in the proposal stage but city officials say there's a possibility the plaza may have to be moved to another area like Franklin Park. Moxley says the Yakima Arts Commission hasn't been asked by the city about the plaza but she's hoping the commission will have a say in the future.
