How do you feel about movie reboots or sequel/prequels years later? Does it seem like Hollywood is out of good ideas –OR- is it simply going with a winner? Here’s a couple of movies in the works for your consideration:

A Top Gun 2 sequel, with VAL KILMER as one of its stars is “possible”. Kilmerl, who played a pilot whose call sign was "Iceman," starred with TOM CRUISE in the original movie, and said yesterday on his Facebook page, “I just got offered ?#?topgun2? --not often you get to say ‘yes’ without reading the script...”

But, Variety says Val took a bit off the announcement later, when he also posted “This is a long way off so calm down. This has been talked about for a long long time and being offered a role is very different from doing a role. I jumped the gun with my post. I jumped the topgun... An innocent mistake. It was just such a wonderful phone call with my agent...”

And there is talk that a "Tomb Raider" reboot is going to happen after all.
Deadline reports a director has been hired and now all that's left is for the script to be written and cast to be picked for the movie. ANGELINA JOLIE starred in the original film and its sequel as Lara Croft, an English archaeologist in the same vein as Indiana Jones, which was developed from the mega-hit video game series.
