Election Day is one week away. With so many issues on the ballot county elections officials say you voters should do it soon. The sooner voters hand in ballots into the county auditors, the earlier it will get counted after polls close. County Elections Manager Kathy Fisher says she expects 80 to 85 percent of the 105 ballots sent out to be returned by the evening of November 6th

Voters can mail ballots or place them in a drop box located across the street from the Yakima County Courthouse. There is no flap to cover signatures on the envelope because Yakima County eliminated it to save money and time in counting ballots.
