A beautiful weekend is a great motivator to get out and take the dogs for a run at the dog park but if you are in a bad mood you’re dog knows about it.

Scientists at Brigham Young University recently discovered dogs trust us less when we're angry.

Researchers ran a test and wrote up the results published in the journal Animal Cognition. Basically they found that when directing a dog to find hidden treats,  positive gestures, expressions and vocalizations had no greater effect than neutral gestures had on the control group of dogs, but when the dogs were exposed to negative emotions and vocal cues, the hounds took longer to react and respond to where a treat was hidden.  In other words this suggests pooches trust angry humans less than happy or neutral ones. So the question is why?  Not -why do dogs not trust when we’re angry-  but why the heck do we care and why do we spend money on such a study in the first place?
