The old Country & Western song about water starts like this…”All day I've faced a barren waste without the taste of water, cool water...Old Dan and I with throats burned dry and souls that cry for water cool, clear, water” . Sounds like Marty Robbins and Old Dan both run the risk of serious dehydration….and the symptoms they’re facing include being tired - no energy, dizziness, depression, stomach issues, headaches, dry skin, and joint problems. Dr, Mike Moreno a family doctor says more people are dehydrated than you might think.  He says about 50% of his patients come to him with these symptoms. When he gets them to increase the amount of water they drink, those symptoms often disappear or become less serious….and his prescription is to try to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day.

The counter intuitive thing about your body and its need for water is that thirst is not a good indicator. If you are thirsty, you've been dehydrated a while already. Sipping water throughout the day is your best bet.
