Do You Support Yakima’s Support Of The Voting Rights Act?
The Washington Voting Rights Act has passed the House of Representatives for the 4th year in a row. The Governor took to the press conference podium to say he has reason to believe the state senate will follow suit and he’ll have a new law to sign.
Joining the Governor was Yakima City councilwoman Dulce Gutierrez who talked about the legislation and how it could benefit other communities as a court mandated implementation has benefitted Yakima. Is benefit in the ear of the beholder?
I have some strong feelings about this and we’ll talk about them on Friday’s Morning News. How do you define “fair”? What role SHOULD race play in what could be called a simple ideological difference? Does or should a majority rule? Lots to discuss and we hope you’ll join us Friday Morning.
