It's been a rough flu season for some people in the Northwest, and in Yakima it's been deadly. In fact Washington State Health Department officials say so far it's been the deadliest season in the past five years.

Seventy-nine people died of the flu last year. But so far this year the number is up to 120, including seven deaths in Yakima County. State health officials urge people to get flu shot, especially if they're going to be around people who are vulnerable to the flu. And health experts say it's not too late, since there's still a chance you could get the flu.

Yakima County health officials say the flu season usually runs from October through the end of March in the valley.
