My father served in the Navy in WWII and managed to survive his troop transport being torpedoed by a Japanese sub. And speaking of subs, my son spent 5 years in the Navy serving in navigation on a nuclear attack submarine. He still works for the Navy as a civilian in computer science today so I have much respect and appreciation for the U.S. Navy….launched 219 years ago today! Me?  I can’t swim..I spent 3 years in the Army!
