Even in the land down under they know that nice guys finish last….but…. they also know nice guys live longer. Researchers who interviewed nearly 200 seniors who'd reached their 100th birthdays concluded that those  living longer were not prone to negative emotions, were not hostile to others, not angry or guilty, nor anxious or depressed.

Robyn Richmond professor at Australia's New South Wales University says "Centenarians are open to change. They have lived through trials and tribulations.”  Richmond adds, “they tend to be extroverts…and even if you have bad genes but you live a healthy life and stay positive you can still have a very long life."
