Dave’s Diary: Phone App to Quell the Kids

We air a feature on KIT several times a day called AppCheck.  It is a quick review of a variety of telephone apps.  One man’s opinion but it can help sort out the thousands of them out there.  Thanks to children-tech-dot-com we have a list of great apps for your kids.   Travel will never be the same and you may have to say “are we there yet?” yourself if you want to hear it…check them out!

 • LEGO Creationary: It’s for ages 5 and up and it’s free.

• Montessori Numbers: This one for ages 3 to 7 costs $2.99 – but that’s a small price to pay for nurturing your budding mathematical genius.

• NASA Science: A Journey of Discovery: It’s for 8 year olds and up and it’s free. It’s got photos, movies and weather and even lets you search for other habitable planets out there.

• Where’s My Perry: Also for 8+, it’s just .99 cents. This one falls into the highly-addictive category.

• PlaySquare: WorldWorld’s Happy Birthday Dog! It’s free for kids 3 to 6 and describes itself as “touchable television.”
