Soooooo, how do you feel about your government these days?  Me neither, and we aren’t alone.   A new Pew Research Center poll finds that our opinion of it has fallen to a record low.  One out of four…just 28 percent of Americans has a favorable opinion of the federal government which is the lowest ever in the Pew poll and down five percentage points from just a year ago. That 28% is the average.  As expected, opinions vary depending on your mode of political transportation…that is, do you ride a donkey or an elephant?  Surprise-surprise -  41 percent of Democrats -- still a minority --have a favorable opinion of the federal government  compared to just 13 percent of Republicans.

And it’s interesting to note that the anti-government bias is definitely more pointed at our federal system.  Respondents view of their state government as favorable, up five percentage points from 2012 at 57 percent.

s and the day to day task of hometown government fairs even better with 63 percent of Americans saying they have a favorable opinion of their local government, which is basically where it was in 2007.
