The students at Eisenhower High School have a clever way to help raise food for Northwest Harvest. They are putting a decorated shopping cart in each room and will run a competition to see which room can raise the most food over the next two weeks.  The event wraps up with a parade of shopping carts and a school assembly where all the kids can visualize the full scope of their generosity.  ASB advisor Lori England along with students Zoë and Kristine were in the KIT studios this morning to talk about it and to put out a call for 19 more shopping carts.  Bingo! Pet Smart comes through and offers up all the carts they need! Way to go Pet Smart and all the other businesses like Albertsons, Safeway and others. Your willingness to help these kids help the community will pay dividends for years to come as the next generation learns the important lessons of giving back to the community.  Wait…in the distance…is that Santa laughing ?
