Would Ben Franklin do mattress promotions on radio today?  I'll bet he would...currently I do promotions for Sleep Country USA and in partial payment I get to sleep on an awesome Temper Pedic mattress.  I think it was a wise decision to partner up with them…but it seems my wisdom may have come from somewhere other than the great night’s sleep I get with my bed. A recent study seems to debunk Franklin's beloved old adage: "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." Maybe it can make folks healthy and wealthy, -and I’m still waiting for that part- but that "wise" part is now in question. Researchers from the London School of Economics have discovered that folks with high IQs tend to be night owls, compared to those with modest IQs, who are more likely to rise early and be at their best during the daytime.  Hmmmm …I used to be a bit of a night owl myself but morning radio has altered my normal patterns but I digress…Further studies have also found a link between "eveningness" and scoring high grades in school. (I knew it!)

Still, all is not rosy for those who burn the midnight oil. It's been shown that people who tend to stay up late may be less dependable and more likely to suffer from depression and various addictions than early risers. I’ll bet Ben Franklin saw that coming!  Bottom line, whenever you turn in…make sure it’s on a good mattress to reap all the benefits of sleep…and I know a couple of locations…
