Firefighters have been busy since late Friday night with the Coyote Creek Fire in Terrace Heights nearly fully contained on Sunday. The blazing flames threatened more than 100 homes early Saturday morning North of Terrace Heights Way in the areas of Boulder Way and Maple Avenue. According to a news release from the Northwest Incident Management Team the fire burned at estimated 400 acres. The cause is under investigation. Many of the firefighters who battled the blaze didn't have much of a break as they rushed from the Rattlesnake Ridge fire Friday night and battled flames on the other end of the valley early Saturday. The Rattlesnake Ridge fire burned nearly 3,000 acres before it was doused. A number of other small grass and brush fires all around the valley kept firefighters busy over the weekend.
