Coroner Says Baby Died From Suffocation

An autopsy has found that a 6 week old baby from Moxee died Monday of asphyxiation from facial obstruction. Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins says it appears something was covering the babies face and mouth. Moxee Police are investigating the case. Police were called to a home in the 2 hundred block of North Glacier Street on Monday morning after police received a report of an infant not breathing.

After the initial investigation, Moxee Police arrested the baby's 22-year-old mother, Arrianna Walker. She was booked into the Yakima County Jail on a first degree manslaughter charge.
