There is no doubt that tattoos are an ancient and expressive art form, but there are an awful lot of bad ones out there. Do you have one of those tattoos that maybe you regret getting?

A lot of people are surprised to learn that I have a couple of tattoos. One is a version of the Seattle Mariners' compass rose logo that I got in 2000, the glory days of Seattle baseball. The M's have been pretty bad since then, but I still like the design. The other is the triangle-and-heart symbol that represents adoption. I'm an adoptive dad, so it his a very personal meaning to me.

Tattoos are becoming more accepted in our society, and it's becoming hard to find anyone under the age of 30 that doesn't have at least one, even if it's just a small one. Some are well thought out, artful choices. But some are just bad.

If you have a bad tattoo that you kind of regret getting, send me a picture and I'll post it in a future Brian's Blog.

I might laugh when I see it, but I won't use your name.

Just email me at brianteegarden@townsquaremedia.com.
