Community Meeting Monday To Talk About Shelter

If you have questions or concerns about Yakima's homeless shelter on Englewood avenue you are encouraged to attend a meeting Monday night. Andy Ferguson, the Director of Transform Yakima Together the organization that operates the shelter says they're holding the meeting to hear questions and concerns from area property owners who vow to appeal a recent decision by the Yakima Hearing examiner to allow a permanent shelter at the site to house 150 people. The meeting starts at 4:00 p.m Monday at the Yakima City Public Works Department in the training room. The department is located at 2301 Fruitvale Blvd.
