Community Clean Up Set For October 6 In Yakima

A big community clean-up is set for Saturday October 6 in Yakima organized by the group Safe Yakima. One of the coordinators of the clean up is James Parks who says it's time people take control of their own neighborhoods. Parks says they'll be cleaning up a large area of the city. "East and West from 6th Avenue to 16th Avenue and North and South from Lincoln Avenue to Fruitvale."
The cleanup is set for Saturday, October 6. But before the clean-up a community meeting to help coordinate the event is set for Thursday, September 27 at Garfield Elementary School from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
