The discussion about repealing the retail marijuana sales ban in the city of Yakima may not happen at the February 16 meeting. That's because city council member Kathy Coffey says she wants to table the issue until the first meeting in May. Coffey says after speaking with her fellow council members "just decided to wait until we can deal with the issue in the full manner that we need to." Coffey says she'll make a motion at the February 16 meeting to table the matter. If it's successful the issue won't be discussed until the first meeting in May. In the meantime she says legal staff and council members are preparing for the discussion.
