A victory for Yakima County Clerk Janelle Riddle? An effort to have her recalled from office has been cancelled. An article in Today's Yakima Herald Republic says Yakima Business Times Publisher Bruce Smith stopped the effort because of the time and expense it would take to make it happen.
Smith along with Grandview Attorney Rick Kimbrough and Yakima attorneys Robert young and Richard Johnson filed paperwork with the Yakima county auditors office back in may to start the recall process. but smith says the effort is to expensive for a special election asking voters to take her out of office. smith estimates the effort would have cost upwards of $250,000.
