The Yakima city council will hold a study session Tuesday at Yakima City Hall in which they'll talk about the city plan to maintain or close Lions Pool. The popular pool near Davis High School could be closed as part of the 2019 city budget. City officials will talk about the process of transferring or selling the property and they'll talk about maintaining the pool and keeping it open as city property. The meeting is set for 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Yakima City Hall. City leaders will also talk about 2017-2020 Economic Development Strategic Plan that outlines strategies, partners and desired economic development outcomes.
In March 2018, Council adopted its citywide Strategic Plan which includes the priorities of main streets, business development and Downtown Central Plaza.
