The Yakima City Attorney's office will present several options to city leaders soon to help curb the areas panhandling problem.

City Attorney Jeff Cutter says the options include requiring panhandlers to wear safety vests and barring panhandling in busy intersections.

Cutter says they've reviewed state and federal laws and how the proposals would work in the city and will present a list of options to the City Safety Committee soon.

The safety committee will then pass on its recommendations to the full city council at a future meeting.
