City Road Work Next Week Could Slow Your Commute

“I” Street between 6th Avenue and 1st Street will be closed to traffic from Monday, February 18th through Friday, February 22nd while a project is underway to install an industrial wastewater line.

Crews from TTC Construction, a Yakima-based contracting firm, will be working in the “I” Street area all week to install the 12-inch diameter line. Traffic controls will be in place while the project is underway to help drivers navigate to a detour route.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to businesses in the area will be maintained and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily, dependant on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
