The State Attorney General's office says the city of Yakima is responsible for paying the costs of fighting the South Wenas fire in June of last year that the office says was started by members of the Yakima Police Department SWAT Team. The cost is $157, 227. The State Attorney General says the fire was started by sniper rifle training when a bullet ricocheted off a piece of metal then struck a power line that sparked the fire.
