The Yakima City Council Today voted in favor of appointing City Attorney Jeff Cutter as the interim city manager as the search begins for a new city leader. During a special meeting earlier today the council members also decided to form a search committee made up of current and newly elected council members to hire a search firm to help the city find a new city manager. Current City Manager Tony O'Rourke plans to resign on December 31st.
